BLACK OBSIDIAN CRYSTAL:
Obsidian is a truth-enhancing stone. It is a strongly protective stone as it forms a shield against negativity. It absorbs negative energies from the environment. It also draws out mental stress and tension. Obsidian brings clarity to the mind and clears confusion; it helps you to know who you truly are. This stone dissolves emotional blockages and ancient traumas. It stimulates growth on all levels, urging exploration of the unknown and opening new horizons. Promotes qualities of compassion and strength.
PALO SANTO:
Palo Santo translates to “holy wood" and is a sacred tree native to South America. It is sourced from Peru. Indigenous Latin American cultures have traditionally used this wood in healing and spiritual ceremonies for centuries. Palo Santo is a cousin of frankincense and myrrh.
Palo Santo sticks are harvested by allowing these trees to grow to their full age of around 80+years, then waiting for the tree to fall naturally, the trunk is then preserved for another 5-8 years. This long process allows the essential oils to infuse into the hardwood.
When Palo Santo burns, the aromatic wood releases lemon, mint, and pine notes. This grounding fragrance is believed to have therapeutic and medicinal healing benefits. Shamans and healers, known as Curanderos, have traditionally used the healing properties of this wood to purify the air and cleanse negative energy. This wood has also been used therapeutically to soothe cold and flu symptoms, depression, emotional pain, and other ailments. It's believed that the rich and energizing aroma of this wood is conducive to meditation and relaxation. It also enhances creativity and brings good fortune.
This wood is an amazing tool to use before and during your meditation as it brings clarity, clear negative energies, and can aid in making a way for your higher self and purpose during meditation.
**All Palo Santo materials are ethically sourced. These are “Bursera Braveolens” variety which is NOT the endangered variety known as “Bulnesia Sarmiento”. Palo Santo is harvested from naturally fallen trees and is not cut or picked from the trees.**
BURNING INSTRUCTIONS:
To ignite your Pal Santo use a candle, match or lighter. Hold the stick at around a 45-degree angle down to the flame to avoid the heat going straight to your hand. Allow the stick to burn for half a minute to a minute and extinguish the fire by blowing it out. The stick will then release a fragrant smoke for energy cleansing that you can move where you need. Around your meditation space, desk, car, home, etc.`

To avoid fire hazard, never leave a burning candle unattended and always light on a heat proof surface. keep out of reach of flammable objects, pets, children, or anything that may catch on fire. do not burn the candle for more than 4 hours at a time. stop use when only 1/2” of wax remains.

On first burn, let wax reach a full melt pool to avoid tunneling. (around 2 hours) with every consecutive burn, keep the wick trimmed to about 1/8 - 3/16” inch. do this by pinching off the curled bits of the black, not the entire black portion! it is natural for the flame to dip in and out on different burns, so long as it does not fully go out. for best results, use a long lighter (hold it to the wick for about 5 seconds) to properly fuel the flame. remember, patience is key here! wood wicks take time to maintain as they are essentially mini fireplaces. :)
